According to Chinese numerology, one is a yang number ruled by the sun and represents independence and individualism. Two is a yin number ruled by the moon and represents symmetry and balance. Combined, the number 12 brings harmony to the yin and the yang.

12-12-12

  • The number 12 has found its way into religion (12 apostles), mythology (12 Olympian gods) and astrology (12 signs of the zodiac).
  • Twelve often represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. December is the 12th month of the year; every 12 hours day turns to night or night to day.
  • There are also 12 pairs of ribs in most humans, 12 face cards in a deck, and 12 people have walked on the moon.

TWELVE NOTABLE TWELVES

12 months in a year.

12 hours on a clock face.

12 inches in a foot.

12 strikes to bowl a perfect game.

12 people have walked on the moon.

12 face cards in a deck.

12 days of Christmas.

12 apostles of Jesus.

12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.

12 jurors in felony trials.

12 signs of the Zodiac.

12 pairs of ribs in most humans.

  3. WHAT STOPS ME FROM SMILING NOT FOR PERSONAL REASONS BUT FOR WHAT I SEE AROUND THE WORLD

Shared with thanks to Mr. Joris Claeys

Nothing in the world, no matter how painful or depressing, can stop me from smiling as far as my personal life is concerned. But when I look at the lives of billions of deprived and under-privileged people of the world due to the failure of the system of governance managed by highly educated people at the delivery end I see myself drowning in the ocean of sadness.

The generous nations and rich individuals with kind hearts are spending billions of dollars every year to end or to reduce the levels of illiteracy and ignorance, unemployment, poverty, deprivation, sickness, injustice and trillions of dollars are spent on war against terrorism. Add to that MDGs of UNO. BUT the results are surprisingly disappointing.

    Why?

Our system of governance both at country and global levels has failed to make living AFFORDABLE for billions of people pushing millions of them below poverty line every year. The other simple solution the managers of system of governance have failed to consider is to provide EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to each and every individual in every sphere of life and create a social balance. IS IT TO MUCH TO ASK? IS IT THAT DIFFICULT TO ANSWER?
